ABOUT ME
I’m the General Manager at A Better Tomorrow Australia.
I have over 20 years’ experience in community services and have been involved in the NDIS since it first rolled out. My journey with the NDIS began as a family member of a participant, before moving into Support Coordination and Psychosocial Recovery Coaching. Today, as General Manager, my role focuses on providing leadership, mentoring and support to our team, while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organisation..
I’m a direct communicator and value honesty and transparency. I believe people deserve clear and honest communication, even when it may be difficult to hear. I recognise the difference between communicating information and agreeing with it, and I’m comfortable being open about the distinction.
As someone who is neurodivergent and lives with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and other health conditions, I bring lived experience and a deep understanding of the challenges many people face. This lived experience shapes the way I work and gives me a deep understanding of the challenges of navigating complex health and support systems.
My approach is flexible, practical and neuroaffirming. I don’t believe there is one “right” way of doing things and am happy to communicate and work in whatever way is most accessible, whether that is face-to-face, phone, text, email or video. I’m not afraid to challenge societal norms or traditional ways of doing things and enjoy finding approaches that work for the individual, rather than expecting the individual to fit the approach.
